It's never too late to join the PTO!

Support our kids, our school and all the wonderful things that make Pine Glen so great!   Membership is $20 per family.  The Pine Glen PTO is a registered 501c (3) all dues and donations are tax-deductible.   Membership perks include a current school directory and a refrigerator magnet with all the important contact information for the school administration.  With your paid membership all announcements will be emailed directly to you.

Box Tops Contest

How many Box Tops can we collect for Pine Glen Elementary School?

The next submission for Box Tops is February 17th.  The last Box Top submission in Fall 2011 netted the school library $450.  It was suggested at the last PTO Meeting to run a contest to see if we can beat the fall total. 

In your child's backpack is a collection sheet called Cool Collection.  It's a fun way to collect as many box tops over the next month and reward the top collectors with tickets to the Pine Glen Carnival (March 31).

Completed sheets should be handed in to your child's teacher.  Teachers will pass them along to the PTO.

Tide Pool Mural

A very big thank you to the PTO from Ms. Fallon and all her students for the funds to create the interactive tide pool mural in honor of John Papadonis.

It was great to have Ms Fallon at the PTO meeting introducing the mural as well as discussing all the exciting things planned for the art department this year.  The Art Show is currently planned for May 1 this year.  

PTO Meeting - Thursday, Jan 5

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season.  Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow night, Thursday, January 5th at 7 p.m. will be our first PTO meeting of the new year.  Pine Glen Art Teacher, Courtney Fallon will give members an in-depth tour of the art installation dedicated to retired science teacher Mr. Papadonis and give us a preview of the next artist-in-residence proposal.

We would like to thank everyone who supported the Genevieve fundraiser as well as volunteers who helped distribute the orders including:  Ginna Churchill, Kim Daly, Tania Conlon, Akiko Coram and Maria Woods.  The net income was about $4162.
